I had a career fair coming up and hadn't touched my resume in over 8 years. The normal move would have been to open Canva and update it. Instead, I built an app that generates the PDF.
It pulls my information from a data file and outputs a consistently formatted resume on demand. A future update would be to pull the information from LinkedIn or something. No more manually nudging layout, no more version files. When something changes, I just regenerate a new PDF.
